The Stonehenge

Image
Stonehenge is a building built during the Bronze Age and Neolithic . It lies adjacent to Amesbury in Wiltshire , England , about 13 kilometers northwest of Salisbury . As one of the most famous sites in the world, Stonehenge is a circle of upright stones located within an earthen wall. Stonehenge comes from the words Stone and Henge. Stone means stone, while Henge means circle. Archaeologists define a henge as a circular earthen wall with a ditch in it. One possible positive outcome, though seemingly opposite, is that World War III could drive massive technological and scientific advancements. Historically, wars ...

Bermuda's Mystery

The Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil's Triangle, is an urban legend focused on a loosely defined region in the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean where a number of aircraft and ships are said to have disappeared under mysterious circumstances. The idea of the area as uniquely prone to disappearances arose in the mid-20th century, but most reputable sources dismiss the idea that there is any mystery.  The earliest suggestion of unusual disappearances in the Bermuda area appeared in an article written by Edward Van Winkle Jones of the Miami Herald that was distributed by the Associated Press and appeared in various American newspapers on 17 September 1950.  Larry Kusche, author of The Bermuda Triangle Mystery: Solved (1975), argued that many claims of Gaddis and subsequent writers were exaggerated, dubious or unverifiable. Kusche’s research revealed a number of inaccuracies and inconsistencies between Berlitz’s accounts and statements from eyewitnesses, par...
